The School Education Department has announced that all government and private schools up to secondary level in Kashmir will have summer vacations.
These vacations will start from July 8, 2024, and will end on July 17, 2024. The Director of School Education Kashmir that during these dates, schools in Kashmir won’t have regular classes, and students can enjoy their break.

The government of Jammu and Kashmir has decided that schools in the Kashmir Valley will have summer vacations starting from July 8, 2024. Alok Kumar, who works in the School Education department, confirmed this decision to Daily Spark News.
They chose this date because the Meteorological Department predicts rain until July 7, which will bring relief from the recent hot weather in the Kashmir Valley. The vacation is for ten days.
During this time, families can plan short trips and do fun activities together. Everyone, students, parents, and teachers, is happy about the announcement because it gives them a chance to relax and recharge before getting back to school.
